1. What do you know about Mark's Gospel that would make sense of him skipping all of Jesus' infancy/childhood, and beginning at the start of Jesus' public ministry?
2. Mk 1:9 Jesus was tempted. Does that mean he sinned? What is the difference for us bw temptation and sin?
3. Notice in Mk 2, 1-12, and esp vs 5, Jesus heals the paralytic because of the FRIEND's faith, not necessarily the paralytic's faith. What does that tell you about your role in the conversion of others??

8. Mk 6. Ever find it is hard to talk about or "teach" your parents/family members something you've learned about the faith. Sometimes they just don't want to hear it from you. With that in mind, what do you think Mk 6:4 means?
9. Why didn't king Herod kill John the Baptist straight away? What did he find intriguing about him? What finally made him kill John?
10. Mk 6: 50: "Take heart, it is I, hae no fear." Tell about a fearful thing in the past week, where these words might have helped you.
