1. From Mt 1:17: There are 3 sets of 14 generations. But count the last set. How many generations? What do you think might account for this?

2. Describe St. Joseph's involvement with keeping the baby Jesus safe. What does this tell us about St. Joseph? About real men?

3. Describe St. John the Baptist's mission and message.

4. Jesus was sinless. If baptism is ordinarily for the forgiveness of sins, why do you think Jesus was baptized? What does that teach us?

5. Summarize the Beattitudes in your own words.

6. What does Mt 5:28 mean? In what ways is the 6th Commandment often violated within our hearts?

7. After the Lord's prayer in Mass, the priest prays: "Deliver us, Lord, from every evil, and grant us peace in our day. In your mercy keep us free from sin, and protect us from all anxiety, as we wait in joyful hope for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ." What does this have to do with Mt. 6:25-34?

8. See Mt 7:13. Do you think everybody makes it to heaven? Do you think this is a scare tactic or reality? What leads "many" to destruction?

9. See Mt 8:27. What storms has He recently settled in YOUR life? How? What happened?

10. What tendency of the Pharisees was Jesus attacking in Mt 9:10-13?

11. What is the common theme, that HEALED each person, in the following stories:
